Maguire didn't want to leave the Peter Pan statue. He keeps asking when we're going to go back.
At the Peter Pan statue in Kensington Gardens, Mallory needed to have her picture taken by Tinkerbell, her favorite fairy.
We took a bus tour of the whole city sitting on the top level of a double-decker bus.
In the olden days, this grassy area was filled with water to form the moat around Tower of London
We're all in front of this beautiful church. The kids got to a "treasure hunt" as they counted animals and looked for certain details in the abbey. As a reward for filling out the sheet, they each got a chocolate in the end. Maddie was surprised when Brett ate some of hers! Brett was in awe of Wilberforce's tomb. Laura wanted to check out Sir Issac Newton. Maguire loved all the kings and Mallory was enthralled with Queen Victoria.
We all tried fish and chips, sort of. Maguire was allergic to the peanut oil, so he ate a cereal bar and a lolly. Max and Mallory got chicken fingers and chips. Maddie, Daddy and Mommy ate fish shaped like a real fish, head and all, but really only a mold dipped in vinegar and ketchup. Yummy, but greasy! Gave us a tummy ache!
This is a street performer outside Covent Garden. He didn't talk -- he squeaked -- like a rubber ducky.
Here we stand on the steps of the statue that we played on more than we looked at Buckingham Palace. It was fun to climb and see Queen Victoria, Mallory's namesake, and the Viking ship (which is almost a pirate ship).
