Plants and Flowers

  • Flowers in Paris
I think that in Europe they have a lot of the same flowers as in the states. Our neighbor at home e-mailed us a picture of our daffodils blooming at our house two weeks ago, and my grandma said that her tulips have already bloomed. They probably have the same kinds of flowers because there is about the same weather.

Paris

  • KING ON A HORSE
Our three day trip to Paris was a whirlwind. We rode the train up from Lyon on Saturday morning and rode it back Monday night, late. We saw as much as a family of six could possibly see ranging from the Mona Lisa to the Eiffel Tower.

Transportation

HOW TO TRAVEL FROM AMERICA TO FRANCE First a cab came to our house and took us to the Cincinnati Airport. Then, at the airport, we had to get signed in, go through security and get ready to board our plane. We took an overnight flight to London. No one really got much sleep. When we landed in the London airport (Gatwick), we took a train from the airport to Victoria station where we took a cab to our hotel, the Marriott. After spending a few days in London, we went on to France. We took a cab to the other London airport (Heathrow). In the cab the steering wheel was on the wrong side of the car, and we drove on the wrong side of the road. When we got to the London airport we had to check in through security again. Then we took a plane to Paris. When we got to the Paris airport we took another plane straight to Lyon. We took a very big cab from the Lyon airport to our apartment. That is how you get from Oxford, Ohio to Lyon, France.

French TV at Pizza Pino

  • I finally get to eat it!
When we stumbled into Pizza Pino our dinner night in Lyon, we had no idea the kids would all get to be on French TV!
